Beaches in Guayas

Guayas is the most populated province of Ecuador and the most important industrial and commercial center of the country. The district that encompasses almost all the beaches in Guayas Province is Playas, whose capital is General Villamil.

Guayas is also home of the country’s most important port and the second most populated city in Ecuador: Guayaquil.

The climate in this province is tropical savannah and tropical monsoon, and most of the year has high temperatures.

However, in its beaches, evaporation is higher than precipitation, which makes the area dry and almost desert-like.
